As a tutor, I aim to strengthen the conceptual foundation in a student's knowledge. Building the skills they will use throughout their lives is invaluable and rewarding. While traditional classroom-based learning can leave gaps in a child's knowledge, one-on-one tutoring can fill them in and tie the knowledge together for future success. Education is a necessity to life and does a great deal to enhance one's quality of living. Through knowledge, we can contribute to the rest of the world. I work with students of all ages to help them build vital skills in Spanish, math, and study skills, among others. Each session is centered around the student's individual academic and personal goals. I strive to make learning fun and engaging, using a variety of unique teaching methods while factoring in my student's personal learning style. My experiences in teaching ESOL and student success at a college level taught me the value in one-on-one attention, understanding, and patience. I work at my student's natural learning pace to allow them ample time to learn the information completely. In my free time, I love playing logical and strategic games, particularly Chess, Stratego, and Risk. I enjoy finding new ways to use the same pieces.
